Learn how to print-screen a window to capture isolated screen images from web pages. Clicking the print button on the command bar with a web page open will print the entire page, or document no matter how long it may be. The print-screen button offers an option to use a screen capture of the text and images seen on the monitor for transfer to a printable document without the rest of the page or pages on the website.

Step 1

Open a window containing material you want to print. Use the scroll bar to get the content to be reproduced displayed in the window.

Initiate a screen capture to copy the window onto a clipboard. Press the "Alt" and "Print screen" keys on the keyboard. This captures the image of the screen for transfer to a document.

Transfer the screen capture image. Open a blank word processor document. Right click on the document to set the cursor on the page where you want the screen image to appear. Click the "Paste" option on from the command selections list that opens with right clicking. The screen image that appears will include the title bar and taskbar.

Manipulate the screen image. Resize the image by clicking the edges to show a double arrow that allows dragging the borders to enlarge or decrease it. Print a hard copy of the documented image, store it as a file or email the file as an attachment to an outgoing message.
